Bandhobi

Synopsis

Min-suh, a 17-year old rebellious high school Korean girl, lives in a small apartment with her mother and her mother’s penniless lover. She hates mother’s lover and doesn’t understand both of them. Karim, a 29-year old Muslim migrant worker from Bangladesh has to leave Korea in a month. Before departing, he is desperately searching for his ex-boss to get his unpaid salary. One day, as Min-suh’s summer vacation begins, he encounters Min-suh in a bus, and together they set out on an emotional journey.
Bandhobi is Bengali, meaning of ‘Friend’ in English.PRODUCTION

A former soccer player who left Korea after failing in business and children from East Timor who didn't even have soccer shoes win the International Youth Soccer Championship. This movie is based on the true story of Coach Kim Sin-hwan, who was East Timor's 'Hiddink.' Everyone looks forward to Director Kim Tae-gyoon ('Temptation of Wolves' and 'Crossing') who is known for his sensitivity and cinematography and Park Hee-soon, a rising star.

Wonkang, a former soccer prospect whose life didn’t turn out quite promising. He heads to East Timor thinking that there would be plenty of opportunities for him. One day, he sees the street kids playing ball with bare feet. Thinking he can score by selling soccer shoes, he opens a sports equipment store, but realizes none of the kids can afford those fancy shoes or jerseys. Again, despaired, he is about to close up the store. Then, he decides to teach the kids how to play ball.

“Heart is...,” the movie that reduced the whole country to tears, is back. This time, the sequel intends to break even more hearts.

Since the last movie, Dong-wuk (Song Joong-ki), now a high schooler, has had to transfer to three different schools, as his reputation as a skilled fighter has always brought trouble. Yet, even through the difficult times, Maumi has stayed loyal to her beloved owner.

But when Dong-wuk’s mother becomes concerned that her son is spending too much time with Maumi, she temporarily sends the dog and her three puppies away to Dong-wuk’s uncle.

One day, two jewelry thieves on the run, Heyok-pil (Seong Dong-il) and Du-pil (Kim Jeong-tae), spot Maumi and her puppies. They hatch a plan to kill one puppy to stuff him with hidden stolen jewels. The plan is on when they manage to nab the youngest puppy, Jang-gun. When her puppy is taken in front of her eyes, Maumi chases the thieves.

When Dong-wuk visits his uncle to see Maumi, he realizes that his beloved dog and her pup are nowhere to be found, and his search for his best friend begins.

Grand Prix

Synopsis

Grand Prix is a thrilling sports drama with comedic undertones that highlights the triumph of the indomitable sportsmanship of a female horse racer. The once-successful horse racer Ju-hee hasn’t been in the field after the devastating arm injury and the loss of her own horse. To overcome depression, Ju-hee visits a mountain in Jeju island where she accidentally meets another racer Woo-suk who has the record of championing at the Japan Cup. Through Woo-suk’s encouragement, Ju-hee trains herself again and returns to the Grand Prix championship.

One day, the agency's representative Byeong-hoon (Eom Tae-woong) and his operation agent Min-yeong (Park Sin-hye) meet an unpredictable client Sang-yong (Choi Daniel). He has excellent qualities but he is a failure in dating. He is in love with a lovable woman named Hee-joong (Lee Min-jeong). But when Byeong-hun sees Hee-joong's profile, he begins to worry...
